I finished watching the Guy Ritchie film Revolver and even though I want to say that it was good, I will honestly say that I didn’t understand it. In the end of the film there are some Doctors of Psychology explaining that there are no such things as enemies, just situations where the ego creates exterior enemies within the interior of the person’s mind.

The movie is action-packed, has great acting, and even better cinematography. I didn’t like Ray Liotta’s character too much, but I guess I wasn’t supposed to like his greedy, cowardice, paranoid personality. The Chess Player and the Conman are fantastic in the film. They go about teaching Jake Green how to free himself from his ego. The many quotes presented throughout the movie are well chosen and well positioned, but I think the movie could have been explained better.

I’ve enjoyed all of Guy Ritchie films from Lock, Stock to Snatch, and even Swept Away. But this film just took it to the next level. It can’t even be compared to his former films. I’m not saying it’s better, nor is it worse, it’s just in a different class. Guy has directed a new film called RockNRolla which should be similar to Snatch and the like. I hope he continues creating thought provoking films, because even though I didn’t fully comprehend this one after two viewings, it’s better than most dribble out there.

I would really love it if anyone would share their views on this film, because I didn’t really understand the film in its entirety and feel like I’ve missed many key concepts.
